THREE D.R BOXERS WIN THE GOLD IN P.R

Dominicans Daniel Santillán (49kg) and Carlos Adames (64kg) won the gold medal within their respective categories in the Cheo Aponte Boxing Cup, which ended yesterday in Caguas, Puerto Rico.

Santillán won easily during the finals, by unanimous decision, against Carlos Silva from Brazil, while Severino also by unanimous vote, beat Jesús García from Puerto Rico. Both matches took place during the youth category.

On his end, Adames, of the Elite category, beat by split vote against José Alday from the USA.
Adames forms part of a boxers cluster, sponsored by the CRESO Program (Creando Suenos Olímpicos), as informed by the Chairman of the Dominican Boxing Federation, Bienvenido Solano.

The enrollment fee for Adames and other boxers such as Raul Sánchez, was covered by CRESO, Solano stated.
